Sarmale with mushrooms and baked peppers from Lucian Dragomir

ITucian Dragomir is probably the most famous vegetable grower around Brașov, the founder of "La Borcan" and the one who calls himself: responsible peasant. Together with him we also made the pickled sarmales (a wonder) which we will show you soon. In the meantime, we present another recipe for sarmales, for fasting (vegetarian, vegan):

The filling for about 30 medium sarmals means the middle of the circumference between Transylvania and Moldova 😁

5 onions (400 Gr.) finely chopped

350 gr. good mushrooms – portobello, porcini mushrooms, porcini...

150 gr. round rice

300 gr. roasted peppers, kapia or /and doughnuts

Salt, thyme, pepper, dill, hot and sweet paprika

Tomato paste 30 gr.

Saute the onion with the mushrooms in 70 ml of hot oil until browned, then add the roasted pepper, the spices, after 2 minutes add the rice, chewing one at a time until the rice begins to crackle, extinguish with the tomato paste and after the fire has stopped add the dill!

It is traditionally rolled with both hands 🤣😁

Boil in dry red wine, water, oil.

Place chopped cabbage and roasted peppers on the bottom of the pot
