pRimula Tasty Memories Masterclass this year it will be about the Romanian gastronomic identity on the plates (everyday life), but also on the screens, as it is translated in social media.
On March 11, at ARCUB in Bucharest, gastronomic specialists, chefs, passionate content creators and foodies will deepen, in three distinct sessions, how Romanian cuisine is reflected daily in the kitchen, in traditional media and social media, but also how it is perceived at a social level.
Chefs will talk about their discoveries in the kitchen, how they translated them for different audiences and how they built their "signature" using classic/legacy recipes or their own reinterpretations.
At the end of the day, two generations with different approaches, represented by the writer and the journalist Radu Paraschivescu and of Bogdan Mihai Simion – baker, writer, fiddler and collector of traditional music, will bring another perspective on the way we look at food. Tasty Memories Masterclass will offer the first study on the gastronomic cultural identity of Romanians, carried out by Unlock Research at the behest of Zaga Brand and with the support of Electrolux and Delaco. The recipe book will also be launched during the event "Tasty Memories-Festive Recipes", where several kitchen enthusiasts, chefs, and guests from the Amintiri Gutoase podcast contributed.
"What does the mass of generations X, Y or Z look like now? Who, with what and what else is cooking? How dishes reach foodies and how chefs look for inspiration. What remains of traditional Romanian cuisine and what does it mean after all? Who puts his shoulder to the construction of a gastro country brand, for the sake of the generations to come, but also for the tourists who come to us for food, after they find out from sources or from whispers what we know too well, that we cook good and tasty.
These would be some of the themes that we will explore in the first Tasty Memories Masterclass in 2023, a Zaga Brand event, a storytelling agency with cultural roots, which aims to be more and more involved in the Romanian gastronomic area", declares Silvia Teodorescu, Zaga Brand Managing Partner and coordinator of the Tasty Memories platform.

Tasty Memories Masterclass will include 3 sessions in which participants will be able to discover a METAXA fusion cocktail, they will take part in a live workshop of photographing plates with neo-Romanian dishes thought by Chef Mihai Toader, will let themselves be guided in an exploration of the senses with the help of Matache Măcelaru', but also of Delaco cheeses synchronized by Chef Alex Cîrțu and will embark on a culinary story in the form of an artistic installation created with the help of Romanian fruits and vegetables by the artist Daniel Nora. The program will be completed by a tasting with a story from Domeniile Sâmburești.
The first session, suggestively titled "From plate to screen", seeks to explore successful examples that showcase cuisine on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, but also on the radio.
