Cwhat's the story with the brandy cake? A question to which I kept looking for an answer, and the coming Alina Muntele in the Podcasting Digital Chronicles, at Tasty Memories, helped me find the answer.
"It's a mousse cake with brandy, more precisely with palinca. They are a little different, one is more aromatic, one is less aromatic, one is stronger, another less strong. Mine usually has palinka, but generic or – for everyone – it's brandy cake. It's not that new, it already has a history of 4 years.
I thought like this: my husband, Ciprian Muntele, who 4 years ago finished an Iron Man, which means a very difficult triathlon, with many difficult trials, is passionate about brandy and I said that I have to give him something as a present special for him and for that moment.
And I said there should be something with brandy, what should I do with brandy? It has to be a cake, and that's where the problem of how I put the brandy in the cake came in, and that's where the brandy mousse came from. It's a cake I've been thinking about for a few years already and I was still trying to find exactly the right combination and the right ratio, and how else to make that cake if not with a brandy with many degrees. You don't go to Olten, but towards Transylvania."
